Aiken Chemical Company is conveniently located in Greer, SC; less than one mile off Interstate 85 near the Greenville/Spartanburg Airport.  Aiken’s facility is 100,000 square feet: 4,000 square feet office/laboratory and 96,000 square feet manufacturing, filling and warehousing.  Aiken has been in business since 1946 and under current ownership since 1989.

Our automated office environment is EDI-capable and is constantly striving to stay abreast of current technological capabilities.  Our personnel work with customers, both current and potential, to meet electronic standards, as needed. Aiken manufactures its liquid products in large blending tanks and then transfers the finished product to separate holding tanks ranging is size from 1,500 to 5,800 gallons.  These holding tanks feed ten filling/bottling lines as follows:

            ¨ 2, 8-head straight lines for bottle sizes 2 oz. – 2 gallon
            ¨ 1, 8-head straight line for bottle sizes 32 oz. – 2.5 gallon
            ¨ 2, 15-head rotary lines (22 oz., 32 oz., 40 oz. and gallons)
            ¨ 1, 16 head rotary line (22 oz., 32 oz., 40 oz. and gallons)
            ¨ 1, 18 head rotary line (22 oz., 32 oz., 40 oz. and gallons)
            ¨ 2, 30 head rotary lines (22 oz., 32 oz., 40 oz. and gallons)
            ¨ 1, 5 gallon pail filling line

The filling lines are fully automatic with cappers, cap induction heat sealers, ink jet coders and label machines.  Purple Power Industrial Strength Cleaner/Degreaser® is Aiken’s premier product ; however, the company manufactures approximately 75 other products, which are packaged in sizes ranging form 4 oz. to 55 gallon drums.
